Course & Training Booking Terms
These Course & Training Booking Terms apply to courses, training programmes and related educational events provided by Mystical Soul Sanctuary.
These terms should be read alongside our General Terms & Conditions. By booking a course or training programme with Mystical Soul Sanctuary, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Course & Training Booking Terms and our General Terms & Conditions.
Where specific information or requirements are provided on the relevant course booking page, these will also form part of your booking agreement.
1. Bookings, Deposits & Payment
A deposit is required to secure a place where the deposit option is selected.
For Reiki training, the current deposits are:
Reiki Level 1 – £40 deposit
Reiki Level 2 – £50 deposit
Alternatively, where available, the course fee may be paid in full at the time of booking.
Where a payment plan is selected, you agree to make all payments in accordance with the payment schedule shown and agreed to at the time of booking. Payments may be collected automatically using the payment method provided.
Some payment-plan instalments may fall after the date of the course. Choosing a payment plan does not reduce the total course fee. You remain responsible for all agreed instalments until the course fee has been paid in full.
Where you have not selected a payment plan, any outstanding course balance must be paid no later than the start date of the course unless an alternative arrangement has been agreed with Mystical Soul Sanctuary in writing.
These payment provisions should be read alongside the Payments and Charges provisions contained within our General Terms & Conditions.
2. Cancellations, Transfers & Non-Attendance
If you are unable to attend your course or training, you must notify Mystical Soul Sanctuary as soon as possible.
If you give us at least 14 days’ notice before the course start date, you may request to transfer your booking and any deposit paid to another available date for the same course. Transfers are subject to availability and may normally be made once.
If you cancel less than 14 days before the course start date, a transfer or refund is not guaranteed. We will take into account the circumstances of the cancellation, any costs or losses we have reasonably incurred and whether we are able to fill your place.
If you do not attend the course without notifying us, we reserve the right to retain amounts already paid and/or recover amounts reasonably due in respect of the booking, subject to your statutory consumer rights.
If you have chosen a payment plan, cancelling your attendance does not automatically cancel your payment agreement. Any remaining amount payable will depend on these Course & Training Booking Terms, the payment arrangement agreed at the time of booking and your statutory consumer rights.
Where we agree to transfer your booking, payments already made may be transferred to the new course date and any existing payment plan will continue unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights.
3. Attendance, Course Requirements & Certification

3. Attendance, Course Requirements & Certification
Participants are expected to attend and participate in all required teaching and practical elements of the course.
For Reiki training, this may include theory, practical Reiki practice, attunements, guided exercises and other activities appropriate to the Reiki level being studied.
Where a course includes case studies, practical work, assessments or other completion requirements, these must be completed to the required standard before the relevant certificate can be issued.
Where case studies or other work are required following the in-person training, completion of the training days alone does not automatically mean that all course requirements have been completed.
Certificates will be issued once the required elements of the relevant course have been satisfactorily completed.
Where a course has prerequisites, these will be stated in the course information. Participants are responsible for ensuring that they meet any prerequisites before attending.
Mystical Soul Sanctuary reserves the right to request evidence of previous training or certification where this is required for entry onto a particular course level..
4. Health, Wellbeing & Participation
Participants are responsible for informing Mystical Soul Sanctuary before attending a course of any relevant health condition, accessibility requirement or other circumstance that may affect their ability to participate safely or comfortably.
Participants are responsible for deciding whether they are able to take part in the course and should seek appropriate medical or professional advice where necessary.
Reiki and other holistic practices taught by Mystical Soul Sanctuary are complementary practices and are not intended to replace medical advice, diagnosis or treatment from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
If at any point during a course you feel unable or uncomfortable participating in a particular practical activity, please inform your tutor.
We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate individual needs where possible. Please contact us before the course if you require reasonable adjustments or additional support.
Nothing within our courses or course materials should be interpreted as medical advice or as a guarantee of any particular health or wellbeing outcome
5. Course Materials & Intellectual Property
Any course manuals, workbooks, handouts, training materials, recordings, digital resources or other materials supplied as part of a course or training programme are provided for your personal learning and use only.
Course materials must not be copied, reproduced, shared, distributed, published, sold or used to create or deliver training for others without the prior written permission of Mystical Soul Sanctuary, unless expressly stated otherwise.
Purchasing or completing a course does not transfer ownership of Mystical Soul Sanctuary’s course materials or intellectual property to you.
Where third-party materials are included within a course, the intellectual property rights of the relevant owner will continue to apply.
This section should be read alongside the Intellectual Property Rights provisions contained within our General Terms & Conditions.
6. Changes, Postponement & Cancellation by Mystical Soul Sanctuary
Occasionally, circumstances may arise which require Mystical Soul Sanctuary to make reasonable changes to a course or training programme, including changes to the date, time, venue, tutor or course arrangements.
If we need to postpone or significantly change a course, we will notify participants as soon as reasonably possible and provide details of the alternative arrangements.
Where a course is postponed, payments already made will normally be transferred to the rearranged date. If you are unable to attend the rearranged date, we will discuss the options available to you, which may include transferring your booking to another available course date or providing a refund where appropriate.
If Mystical Soul Sanctuary cancels a course and does not offer a suitable alternative, any course fees paid for the cancelled course will be refunded.
We will not be responsible for additional costs incurred by participants, such as travel or accommodation expenses, except where required by law.
Nothing in this section affects your statutory consumer rights.

7. Reiki Training & Progression
Where you book Reiki training with Mystical Soul Sanctuary, you are responsible for ensuring that you meet any prerequisites stated for the Reiki level you wish to study.
Reiki training may include theory, practical exercises, Reiki practice, attunements, self-practice, case studies and other course requirements appropriate to the level being studied.
Where case studies or other post-course requirements form part of the training, these must be completed satisfactorily before the relevant course requirements are considered complete and, where applicable, before certification is issued.
Progression to a higher Reiki level may be subject to successful completion of the previous level and any required period of practice or development stated within the relevant course information.
Students are encouraged to continue their own Reiki practice and development between training levels.
Completion of a Reiki course does not guarantee any particular personal, professional, financial or health outcome.
Any specific requirements for an individual Reiki course will be stated within the relevant course information and will form part of your booking agreement.
8. Conduct & Respectful Participation
Mystical Soul Sanctuary aims to provide a safe, welcoming and respectful learning environment for everyone attending our courses and training.
Participants are expected to behave respectfully towards tutors, other participants, staff and the venue throughout the course.
We reserve the right to ask a participant to leave a course where their behaviour is abusive, threatening, discriminatory, unsafe, seriously disruptive or otherwise significantly affects the wellbeing or learning experience of others.
Where a participant is asked to leave because of serious inappropriate behaviour, any refund will be considered in accordance with the circumstances, our General Terms & Conditions and applicable consumer law.
Participants must follow any reasonable health, safety and venue instructions provided during the course.
9. Photography, Recording & Confidentiality
Participants must respect the privacy and confidentiality of other people attending the course. Personal information or experiences shared by another participant during training should not be shared outside the course without that person’s permission.
Photography and short video recordings may be taken by Mystical Soul Sanctuary during courses and training for promotional, social media and marketing purposes.
If you do not wish to appear in photographs or video recordings, please let us know before the course or inform your tutor on arrival. We will respect your wishes and take reasonable steps to ensure that you are not included in identifiable promotional content.
Participants must not photograph, video or audio record other participants, teaching sessions, demonstrations or course materials without permission from Mystical Soul Sanctuary and, where relevant, the individuals concerned.
10. General
These Course & Training Booking Terms are supplementary to the Mystical Soul Sanctuary General Terms & Conditions and should be read alongside them.
Our General Terms & Conditions continue to apply to matters including payments, consumer rights, liability, intellectual property, events outside our control, complaints and other matters not specifically addressed within these Course & Training Booking Terms.
Where specific requirements, prerequisites, payment arrangements or other conditions are stated on the relevant course page or at the time of booking, these will also form part of your booking agreement.
If there is any inconsistency between these Course & Training Booking Terms and our General Terms & Conditions in relation specifically to a course or training booking, these course-specific terms will apply to the extent permitted by law.
Nothing in these Course & Training Booking Terms excludes or limits any rights you have under applicable consumer law.
